Well, she's officially ours! Now they can't take her back! I paid the hospital bill (and all the other bills) last week. But we ran into a few snags.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you don't fill out paper work jacked up on drugs. Always have your husband fill it out; however incompetent he may be!
The following story is a great example why you should never fill out important documents when you are jacked up on drugs.
When I received her Social Security card, her name was spelled wrong. (Aurie Venese Gunther) So I got the paper work filled out to get her a new one and it was sent back to me stating that they needed a drivers license or other form of picture ID. So I called and asked what I need to do since she obviously doesn't have a drivers license. The lady asked if it was right on the birth certificate because that's where they get their info. I hadn't gone to pick it up yet, so I didn't know.
So last week I went and picked it up and it is spelled
wrong there too. And Glade's name was Gade (that's why his name was wrong in the newspaper)
So on the back of the birth certificate I had to fill out what's wrong with it and now I have to take it up to the bank where they will notarize it. They need to witness both mine and Glade's signatures. After I get that done, I send it to Salt Lake where they fix it and I get a new one. Who knows how long that will take.
After I get the new birth certificate back I have to take it; along with my drivers license, a note from my Doctor saying that Avrie does exist and they see her in their office, down to the local Social Security building in Ogden to fill out the paper work and get her a new one. (With the right name spelling.) Phew! And then not only will she be bought and paid for, but she will also have all of her documents right.
I also got Stacy to take her pictures. These are just a few. She was sleeping in most of them and I want her awake for the one's I put up on my wall. So I have just a few to choose from. But they did turn out pretty cute. Of course, she spit up on her dress and in the one with the bubbles you can see it if you look close.
She spits up tons more than any of my other kids and I'm not enjoying that; but I am used to it. When she spits on me I don't even react anymore. The kids always inform me when she spits on me, like I'm not aware! Paige freezes and can't function if she gets spit on. It's pretty funny.

Shari you are so funny! It is kinda crappy how much you have to go through to fix such a little mistake. The pictures that Stacy took are so adorable!
Yah, those pictures are great. Um, we still don't own Jonas yet. When he is crying, Pete sometimes suggests we take him back to the doctor since we still owe him. The hospital has nothing on him, though. Good luck getting the papers straight--YIKES!
Avrie is cute. Or should I say Aurie. Just kidding. Hopefully you can get it all worked out soon. I can't believe how much she is already changing.
I hate dealing with paperwork that goes all wacky. Sorry you have to go through all those loops. Avrie's pictures are adorable. Stacy did a cute job---of course. Owen is paid for too---I guess we'll keep him.
Okay so I have been meaning to ask you if you had a blog and here it is. Carrie left a comment on my blog and told me that you had one too. Maybe we can keep in touch here a little better then we have lately. You blog is adorable by the way. (Of coarse..everything you do is adorable) Call me and let's get together. I am adding your name to my blog... I hope that's okay!
