So, it's broken!I took her to see Dr. Bitner and he looked at the x-rays they took at the hospital and he saw a tiny fracture that they missed. Figures.
They asked her what her favorite color was and she said Black. The nurse and Dr. Bitner said, to pick a different one because Black would be too hot, so she chose light blue (obviously). No pink for this girl!
She has to wear this for 2 1/2 more weeks and they will x-ray it again and if it looks good, they will give her a cast that I can take off when she bathes or swims.
This is a challenge for McKinley because we just set up our pool and I don't want her to even get the bag that I cover it with wet. So she has been a delight when we go outside!! And it's not like we can get mad at her..."Well, if you would have been more careful and not broken your thumb..." But we do get after her for complaining. Ahhhh! The joys of motherhood.
We just signed it last night and I put glitter on my name and Glade drew a trilobite.

That color is a better choice than black. I didn't know black was her favorite color. Hopefully the 2 and 1/2 weeks will go by quickly. And I hope she stops complaining too much.
I hated pink too!!! My cast was green when I got one in 6th grade.
