Day one of potty training. Well technically we started about a month ago, then I was interrupted by crisis (see previous blog).
So, day one! This is all he is wearing! Pull ups are a joke. They are just like wearing a diaper for him. He knows he can pee in it and it doesn't feel any different. But underwear feels yucky when it's wet, so he doesn't like it. So I had to make him wear them. He doesn't want to wear them still, he wants to wear a diaper. (or maybe he's a boxer's guy) I'm sick of changing him! His butt is big enough to sit on a potty!
So far he has kept his pants dry. He did take a bath a little bit ago and I'm sure he peed in there since he hasn't gone since he's been out. I bought him a big pirate ship that he will get to open as soon as he goes and if he keeps his pants dry, he can keep playing with it. We shall see...

I'm not looking forward to potty training Benson someday. I ask him every so often if he wants to go potty and he says no. I don't think he'll ever be ready, but I'm not starting anytime soon. Good luck. I hope you have many dry days to come.

I got a barbie doll when I was trying to quit sucking my thumb. It worked!!! If I got caught, it got taken away. But, um...I was 8, so it may not be quite the same, but hey, let's pretend. Good luck :-]
