Nope, I didn't die. But some days I wanted to. Do you ever feel overwhelmed with everything that you want to get done? I mean, there are things that NEED to be done (feed the kids), and there are things that will drive you crazy if they don't get done, but don't NEED to be done (dishes, clean house). Well, eventually the dishes NEED to be done or you won't have any.
So, I am just now feeling like we are through the holidays and I can get back into my routine. (Did I have one before the holidays?) I do have a clean house now and dishes are done, laundry going etc. I expect it to stay clean for a couple more minutes so I can blog. I have a headache; getting a cold. But I have to change my blog! Speaking of priorities.
So here's what has been happening at my house:
*Paige lost her first tooth. We told her she was a shark because a tooth grew in behind her baby teeth because it hadn't fallen out. The night she lost it, the tooth moved into it's rightful place. I was shocked it moved so fast.
*I finally made my chore chart! I know what you're thinking. Why is Avrie on there? Well, she will have chores eventually. And there is no way I will be making a new chore chart when that time comes. It took me long enough to make this one. I bought the metal board at IKEA ($12), used my Cricut to cut out their names on vinal, used those magnets that come on phone books (advertising things). I covered the magnets with scrapbook paper and ordered the chores from my friend Emily. She has a vinal web site: http://www.eaddesigns.com/
You can order anything you want in any color and size you want or she has tons of things already designed for you. She flattered me and asked me to design some things for her. I haven't done anything yet, but I am dying to get going.
*Oh...we did have a GREAT Christmas. I really cut back this year and didn't spend much on the kids, but they were all happy. I got a new wedding ring (technically for my anniversary). My old one broke and at Zales you can upgrade and trade in your old one, just like a car! Only diamonds don't loose value. I only have a picture on my phone right now. That will be another post.
*I am in the process of organizing my scrapbook supplies. I have a book (yes, a book) that is all about organizing scrapbook supplies. So I have been getting rid of things I don't use and organizing the things I do, or will use. I will take pictures of my stuff when I'm done.
*We are almost ready to start building our house. We have been busy getting things organized to get started. We will be getting the financing started next week (Thanks Jeff!) and our plans are getting altered to our liking right now. So hopefully we can start digging in a few weeks. I can hardly stand it, I'm so excited!
So I can't think of anything else right now. Good thing too, this is way to long! So until next time!

OH YAY! Where are you building? What kind of house? Did you sale yours? Who's building it? Who drew your plans? LOL! IS that enough ?'s? My house is almost done, so come by and visit me. I'll be there this weekend. It's over on the old golf course. It's the first road in, and we're the only new house being built on that street. Guess what? CHICKEN BUTT! LOL! No, not really. But really, I'm designing for Emily too! YAY! we're like co-workers now. Now we have an excuse for the 3 of us to get together for a "business lunch".
Cute chore board. I got a cricut for Christmas this year - so fun!! I haven't cut out vinyl on it yet, but have some on hand just waiting for one of my bright ideas (I haven't had much of those lately).
I thought maybe you did die, but then I realized I definitely would have heard about it. So, I knew you were just busy. I love the chart idea...maybe someday I'll do one.
Yep I feel overwhelmed a lot too, and I only have 2 kids! Luckily Julien is getting really good at cleaning! But no matter how much I play with my kids, I still feel like it isn't enough because I have so many other things to do too.
I want to go to your house and scrapbook with you. No, actually, I want to sit there and watch you do it, because you are amazing at it! After I looked at the scrapbook you made your mom, it inspired me to start up again. So i did a few pages, but then stopped because now that i've seen what can REALLY be done (thanks to you), I end up putting everything away until the day I can buy all those scrapbook supplies! (sorry this is so long)! Anyway, good update and love the new look!
Shari if you haven't noticed yet I haven't updated my blog in over 2 months. So you are doing alot better than me. Where are you building at? Jena had told me you were building yesterday, but I forgot to ask you when I saw you last night.
I'm glad you didn't die. I know how you feel. December was a crazy month. There's way too much extra stuff that needs to be done. I'm still trying to get life back to normal. Actually, I'm still trying to figure out what normal is.
