Fishing with Daddy!

These first 3 are McKinley's amazing photography!
We are taking appointments for anyone interested!

Daddy making them do all the work!
Actually, they wanted to row.
Glade said Paige kept spinning them in circles.

Do you like our Vanna White displaying the fish?

So Tired!

I was cleaning out the fridge (inspired by some of your blogs) and I looked over at Avrie and she had fallen asleep in her bumbo seat. I felt so bad! I do like rocking her to sleep cuz she goes to sleep so easy. It was too cute to not take a picture.

Everyone is Happy!

So I just got done with Brockston in the bathroom. I made him sit in there until he went pee!
He had a ton of apple juice and I knew he had to go. He DID NOT want to go. I know you are supposed to keep it positive etc...ya...okay...I almost killed him!
At first I sat in there with him, gave myself a pedicure, manicure, shaved my legs, put lotion all over and ran out of things to do. Then Avrie woke up and she wanted to be held.
So I left him in there. At first he was okay, but then he started throwing things, so I sat him on his potty.
Finally about an hour later...(no exaggeration)...he PEED! He knew it was coming too cuz he got on his potty. So we celebrated, sang and danced and he got to open his Pirate Ship. Avrie was still not happy at this point so I sat her on my lap and finished setting up the ship. She was fascinated by it, so I sat her next to it and she has been playing for 15 minutes. That's a long time in Avrie's world. So Everyone is Happy. Especially me!

Memories...You do it too!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Do or Die!!!

Day one of potty training. Well technically we started about a month ago, then I was interrupted by crisis (see previous blog).
So, day one! This is all he is wearing! Pull ups are a joke. They are just like wearing a diaper for him. He knows he can pee in it and it doesn't feel any different. But underwear feels yucky when it's wet, so he doesn't like it. So I had to make him wear them. He doesn't want to wear them still, he wants to wear a diaper. (or maybe he's a boxer's guy) I'm sick of changing him! His butt is big enough to sit on a potty!
So far he has kept his pants dry. He did take a bath a little bit ago and I'm sure he peed in there since he hasn't gone since he's been out. I bought him a big pirate ship that he will get to open as soon as he goes and if he keeps his pants dry, he can keep playing with it. We shall see...

Camping Trip

We went camping/rock hunting on the 26th of June. We went to Douglas Pass in Colorado. It was so pretty up there. And when I say up there, I mean UP there. We were up at the tippity top of the highest mountain that was in sight. The picture just doesn't do it justice. It was awesome! And it was the perfect temperature too. It was still hot but there was always a perfect cool breeze. So in the shade it was just right.
The drive was a little long (6 hours). Avrie did great on the way up and on the way back she did well for most of it. I was surprised.
The first picture is of the kids in the little sand pit at the Dinosaur museum in Price, UT. It was small but it was a good pit stop on the way up.
The kids got so dirty up there (notice Brockston's face). The dirt was just very dry and powdery. They kept digging up the dirt and making homes for the ants. When we got home I gave them individual baths and the water was un-real! Even Avrie, who I thought stayed the cleanest was filthy.
But we had a good time and, of course, part of rock hunting is finding lizards. No trip is complete without one. So we got pics of him on every one's shoulder. Even baby Avrie! (can you see the big scratch she gave herself right under her eye?) Glade caught this one but awhile after they let this one go, Paige caught one all by herself! Impressive! Everything that they would find (lizards, grasshoppers, caterpillars etc.) they would ask if we could take it home and keep it as a pet. Oh if only we could.

My new best friend!

I bought this today because Avrie loves to sit up but she is still not strong enough for her walker. She loves it! It's called a bumbo seat. I wish I had it for the other kids! I am a happy mommy!

Growing up!

Well baby Avrie is growing up! She weighs 11 lbs. & I forgot how long she is. She rolled over for the first time yesterday (Sunday 22nd). She tries to sit up if ever she is laying down at all. She is very strong so I think she will sit up early.
I think she is going to be my wild child. Not to say my other kids are extremely mellow, she has just been higher maintanance than the rest of them.
She is starting to be more fun and is able to sit in her bouncer for quite awhile now without fussing. I am starting to like her better!

The good ol' days

Remember when I had 2 kids?

Those were the days of organization, sanity and long hair.

(I took my cue from Trent and Julie's Blog)
